What happens if I exceed the duration or distance allocated for a single trip in my CityBee subscription plan?

If you exceed the maximum allotted time or distance during a trip, standard CityBee per-minute and per-kilometer rates will apply according to the pay-as-you-go pricing for the selected car model. Immediately after your trip, you will receive an invoice via email detailing the additional charges for extra kilometers and/or minutes. This amount will be charged to the payment card linked to your CityBee account.

If, for any reason, the additional charges cannot be deducted from your payment card and a debt is incurred, you will not be able to start a new trip until the outstanding balance is settled.

How to purchase and activate the CityBee subscription?

To subscribe to CityBee, open the CityBee app and go to the ‘Subscription’ section. Choose the plan that best suits you from the available options. The plan cost will be automatically charged to the payment card linked to your CityBee account. Once the payment is successful, you’ll receive a confirmation email. The purchased plan will be activated immediately and will be valid for 30 days.

Change of phone number

If you want to change your phone number in the CityBee app, please follow these steps:

Menu > My profile > Phone number. Specify the new phone number and enter the verification code, which you will receive as an SMS to the new phone number.

If you want to change the phone number registered in the CityBee app, but cannot access your profile in the app, please send us a request by e-mail, using the e-mail address you specified in your CityBee profile, and indicate your new phone number. We will change it upon request.

If you are unable to access the email inbox associated with your account, kindly get in touch with our customer support team for further assistance.

Attention! To protect Your account and to prevent fraud, while changing the phone number, we will remove Your driver‘s license and all Your attached payment cards. Add Your driver‘s license and payment card and You will be able to use the services again.

Do I have to report damages / in which cases?

It’s important to report damages, and here’s when:

Before starting your trip: No need to worry about minor scratches or dents—we’ll take care of those. However, if you notice anything that could make the car unsafe or unfit to drive, such as a flat tire, broken window, loose or missing trim, or a non-functioning light, please report it through the CityBee app.

During your trip: Report any damage to the vehicle that occurs, no matter how small. This includes accidents or collisions, regardless of who is at fault. By reporting promptly, you’ll ensure you’re covered by the BeeChill fee, and we’ll handle the rest. If you fail to report, you could be held responsible for damages. It’s always better to let us know right away!

Disconnecting the electric car from the charging station

Please note that this service is provided in Lithuania and Estonia.

Lithuania:

Make sure the car is unlocked.
Take the car keys and find the charging coin (RFID key) attached (there are two coins: one for “IgnitisON” and one for “ElintaCharge”).
In case of charging at the “IgnitisON” charging station or “ElintaCharge” fast charging station:
1. Approach the charging station, scan the charging token, and choose “Stop Charging” (“Sustabdyti”).
2. Wait a few seconds until the charging process is fully stopped.
3. Gently unplug the cable from the vehicle and leave it at the charging station.
In case of charging the vehicle at a 2-slot “ElintaCharge” station:
1. Scan the charging token and wait for a few seconds until the word “Charging” on the station stops lightning.
2. Wait a few seconds until the charging process is fully stopped.
3. Gently unplug the cable from the charging station first and then unplug it from the CityBee vehicle.
4. Don’t leave the cable at the charging station, put the cable back in the car:
  
  • In the case of the VW e-Crafter electric van – under the front center seat
  
  • In the case of a passenger car – to the spare wheel space in the trunk.

If you cannot unplug the cable from the car easily, take the car keys and press the “Unlock” button twice again.

Estonia:

Make sure the car is unlocked
Take the ‘Eleport’ charging card from sun visor
To disconnect the charger in Eleport charging station:

Take the Eleport charging card and tap it on the reader
Press ”Stop Charging” (”Lõpeta laadimine”) – this process may take up to 30 seconds
Disconnect the charging cable from the car and put it back to the charger

Driver's license registry

If you’d like to use the car-sharing service, you’ll need to confirm the validity of your driver’s license.

You can do this in just a few minutes by following the steps in the ‘CityBee’ app. Open the app, choose Add driver’s license and enter your driver license number.

We now offer several ways to confirm your license:

Smart-ID or Mobile-ID

Available for users whose driver’s license can be verified through these electronic identification methods.

Uploading photos

If you prefer pictures, you can complete the process by taking a few photos directly in the app. You’ll be asked to:

1) Take a selfie;

2) Take a selfie while holding your driver’s license;

3) Take a photo of the front side of the document.

Whichever method you choose, please make sure your document is valid and undamaged. When taking photos ensure good lighting and that document is removed from any cover or case so your document number, personal identification number, and personal photo can be clearly seen.

Note: We accept only photocard driver’s licenses.

Prepaid packages

We offer prepaid trip packages that include fixed time with fixed kilometers.

By choosing prepaid packages, you will pay less than the usual fare with the same distance and time in the “pay as you go” option.

If you happen to exceed the kilometers and /or time included in the price of the package, you will be able to continue the journey safely.

After the prepaid package ends (mileage and time included are finished), you will be paying for additional minutes and/or kilometers as specified in the chosen package deal.

You can also continue your trip by purchasing one more additional prepaid package without completing the active reservation.

If you decide to end the trip before using the time and /or kilometers indicated on the prepaid package, this balance will not be refunded.

The price of the fixed prepaid package will be charged at the beginning of the trip and the price for the extra kilometers and/or time will be charged during or at the end of the journey, depending on the length of your trip.

A day mentioned in the trip packages is 24 hours.

Now you are able to customize the pre-paid packages yourself by selecting time and kilometers in the app. Choose the preferred duration of the package, then, select the number of kilometers you anticipate driving during that time.
