If you’d like to use the car-sharing service, you’ll need to confirm the validity of your driver’s license.
You can do this in just a few minutes by following the steps in the ‘CityBee’ app. Open the app, choose Add driver’s license and enter your driver license number.
We now offer several ways to confirm your license:
Smart-ID or Mobile-ID
Available for users whose driver’s license can be verified through these electronic identification methods.
Uploading photos
If you prefer pictures, you can complete the process by taking a few photos directly in the app. You’ll be asked to:
1) Take a selfie;
2) Take a selfie while holding your driver’s license;
3) Take a photo of the front side of the document.
Whichever method you choose, please make sure your document is valid and undamaged. When taking photos ensure good lighting and that document is removed from any cover or case so your document number, personal identification number, and personal photo can be clearly seen.
Note: We accept only photocard driver’s licenses.
Park the car in ‘CityBee’ zone when you’re finished. All zones are shown on the app map. For more details on parking zones, see our guide here.
Before you hop out, do a quick check:
– Grabbed all your stuff
– Car documents and accessories still in the car
– Key back where you found it (or somewhere the next person will easily spot it)
– Windows and sunroof closed
Then just open your active trip in the app, hit ‘End trip’, and confirm. Make sure the doors actually lock. You’ll get a confirmation.
Left something behind?
No worries. You can unlock the car once for free to grab your things. Find out more about retrieving lost items here.
CityBee wallet is a virtual payment method which can be used to pay for CityBee services. You can find your CityBee wallet in the app by clicking Menu -> Payments.
CityBee wallet cannot be topped up, but the balance will be used automatically.
You can refuel your CityBee at any Circle K station. Just open the app, check the map for the nearest station, and tap it for directions. When you get there, open the app, hit Refuel, and follow the simple steps. Want more info? See the full guide here.
From now on, before starting the trip, we will ask you to check the car and inform us only if there are any obvious defects that make the car unsuitable for its intended purpose (5.3.19, 5.15).
1. Make a short inspection of the car;
2. Check whether there is any damage that could make the car unsafe or unsuitable for driving (for example flat tires, moderate or severe body damage, etc.) if there is any – please report it using the CityBee app;
3. If the damage is minor (e.g. small scratches or dents) – You do not have to report it and you can safely start the trip!
If the damage impacts your ability to drive safely or you’re uncertain, please reach out to us via email, in-app chat, or phone. Please include a photo to help us assess the situation more accurately.
If the car is dirty – you can select the “report” function in the reservation and the technical team will clean the car at the first opportunity.

The usage time of the car starts from the moment of unlocking the car or when you click “extend the reservation” and ends when the car is locked via the smartphone app.
Each time you use CityBee, you are able to choose “pay as you go” or prepaid packages.
Trip start fee – additionally applicable to all “pay as you go” trips (not applicable to travel packages). Fee amount for each car is indicated in the App.
Prepaid packages – the prices for the packages are fixed. Prepaid package prices are based on the time and kilometers included. If the time or kilometers included in the package are exceeded, the additional price is calculated according to the set tariff, specified when choosing the package.
You can find all of the available packages and prices in the CityBee app and use the custom package function.
There is no extra charge for fuel and insurance – we take care of it.
Once you reserve a car, you are able to keep it reserved for you 15 minutes for free. However, if you weren’t able to reach the car within 15 minutes and need additional time – you can easily extend your reservation through the app. Just click on Reservation and then select Extend.
The price for extended reservation costs as much as the time price for that specific car displayed in the price list.
The maximum duration of the extended reservation is 24 hours. If you do not unlock a car by selecting Unlock in the app within that period, the reservation will discontinue and you will be charged for the time used. You can cancel the extended reservation anytime. In this case, you will pay only for the used paid reservation time.
Please note that this service is provided in Lithuania and Estonia.
Lithuania:
Make sure the car is unlocked.
Take the car keys and find the charging coin (RFID key) attached (there are two coins: one for “IgnitisON” and one for “ElintaCharge”).
In case of charging at the “IgnitisON” charging station or “ElintaCharge” fast charging station:
Approach the charging station, scan the charging token, and choose “Stop Charging” (“Sustabdyti”).
Wait a few seconds until the charging process is fully stopped.
Gently unplug the cable from the vehicle and leave it at the charging station.
In case of charging the vehicle at a 2-slot “ElintaCharge” station:
Scan the charging token and wait for a few seconds until the word “Charging” on the station stops lightning.
Wait a few seconds until the charging process is fully stopped.
Gently unplug the cable from the charging station first and then unplug it from the CityBee vehicle.
Don’t leave the cable at the charging station, put the cable back in the car:
• In the case of the VW e-Crafter electric van – under the front center seat
• In the case of a passenger car – to the spare wheel space in the trunk.
If you cannot unplug the cable from the car easily, take the car keys and press the “Unlock” button twice again.
Estonia:
Make sure the car is unlocked
Take the ‘Eleport’ charging card from sun visor
To disconnect the charger in Eleport charging station:
Take the Eleport charging card and tap it on the reader
Press ”Stop Charging” (”Lõpeta laadimine”) – this process may take up to 30 seconds
Disconnect the charging cable from the car and put it back to the charger
